Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons gluten-free plain flour
  • Pinch salt
  • 4 tablespoons cheese, grated
  • 1 cup milk

Method

  1. Combine butter, salt and flour in a small saucepan over low-medium heat, until it becomes a wet paste. Stir constantly.
  2. Remove from heat and add 1/2 cup of milk. Stir until all lumps are gone, then put back on a medium to low heat. Stir constantly.
  3. When the sauce has thickened add the other 1/2 cup of milk and stir in.
  4. Add the cheese and stir until it has melted in with the rest of the sauce. You may want to add more cheese and salt to add to the flavour.
